USMCA in trouble

RIO GRANDE VALLEY, Texas – It’s been months of negotiations and Congress has yet to vote on the United States Mexico trade deal which would replace NAFTA.

The Trump Administration says the new deal will spur economic growth for farmers and bring manufacturing jobs back to the auto industry.

But democrats and now top Republican Senator Chuck Grassley say they’re still not sold.

“This renegotiation was good for the drug companies, good for the oil companies, but it’s not done what it needs to for workers.” Says Senator Sherrod Brown.

Senate Republican Chuck Grassley gave the administration an ultimatum. Get rid of the steel and aluminum tariffs or the USMCA dies.
