Voices of Change: UTRGV

UTRGV looks to continue the conversation with programming and dialogue.

UTRGV Men’s Basketball Coach Lew Hill has hope.

“People are speaking out more,” Hill said. “I think so many more people are on board than ever.”

As equal-rights protests sweep the nation, UTRGV leaders are figuring out ways to continue the conversation on campus. UTRGV Athletic Director Chasse Conque hopes to implement programming that will promote uncomfortable, yet positive dialogue.

“We would like to do round tables when we get to the fall,” Conque said. “Once people start having conversations, that is when the real magic can happpen.”

Hill and Conque both plan on using their voices for positive change moving forward, while focusing on continuing positive and uncomfortable conversations on campus and across the valley.
