Juarez-Lincoln’s Alaniz Called Up To Mariners Roster

(CBS 4 Sports) – The Seattle Mariners announced on Friday that they have officially recalled the contract of right-handed pitcher Ruben Alaniz to the major league club. Alaniz an alum of La Joya Juarez-Lincoln High School, is scheduled to make his major league debut in Friday’s game against the Houston Astros. 

Alaniz is a former Astros farm-hand and has also spent time in both the Tigers and Rays organization. 

In two relief appearances at Triple-A Tacoma, Alaniz is 0-1 with 3.1 innings of work, seven strikeouts and one earned run allowed.
