Before High School, Senior Donna Wrestler Precious Hernandez was a dancer. After this weekend, she is a state champion.
Down 0-2 with just seconds left before a key stoppage, Hernandez did the unthinkable.
She won crucial points just before a key stoppage and, riding the momentum from the move, pinned her opponent in the very next sequence to become the very first valley wrestler to ever win a state title in the heavyweight division.
Hernandez is just the fourth Valley wrestler to ever bring home the state title.
