SpaceX at Boca Chica Test Fires Engine


Exciting developments out of the SpaceX facility in Brownsville. The company ignited the prototype starship engine for the first time this week.

The test was conducted at around 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and was said to last for a few seconds. The ignition is part of a tethered test known as static fire.

Space enthusiasts remain hopeful that more engine tests will be coming in the upcoming days.
