Draft week is finally here for the Dallas Cowboys. The big question for Cowboy fans is, will Dallas draft a quarterback, running back or go with a defensive player?
If Dallas goes defensive they will probably take a corner back, defensive end, and on offense a running back. Mickey Spagnola from the Silver Star network says if owner Jerry Jones had to pick today eventually the Cowboys will be making their pick without trading up or down. The Cowboys also have contingency plans if certain players they are looking at go somewhere else.
With the suspension of defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence for four games, does that position become a huge need? Spagnola thinks that Dallas can’t do that when it comes to suspended players.
“To me you have to treat it as your injured, and they are going to be back after four games. Because if you over draft for need, chances are you are passing on maybe someone that you had rated higher. Now if you have a defensive end rated that high, by all means, go get him,” said Spagnola.
The first round of the draft begins Thursday evening.
