The Dallas Cowboys are coming off a rough one-point loss to the New York Giants this weekend, and next up, the Cowboys travel to another division rival this Sunday.
Let’s get more on the Cowboys in this Silver Star Nation Report with News Center 23’s Beau Bagley.
Beau Bagley: Thank you, I’m now joined by Silver Star Nation Cowboy’s Insider Mickey Spagnola. Mickey, we know the Cowboys dominated the stats in the loss to the Giants, let’s talk rookies. Rate rookie quarterback Dak Prescott’s play.
Mickey Spagnola: Well I thought he played awfully well for the first time in the NFL. The fact that he was supposed to be the Third Team QB and didn’t move up to be the Backup QB until about two weeks to go until that first game, I think if the supporting cast had played as well as Dak Prescott played, they would have won the game instead of losing by one point.
Beau Bagley: Rookie Ezekiel Elliott had only 51 yards rushing, how do you think he did?
Mickey Spagnola: Well I think for the stuff they were asking him to do, and the availability of running lanes, should say unavailability of running lanes that he did have, I thought he did a good job, that will work itself out. I think that once he gets more into the rhythm of the game, he won’t press the hole as quickly as he has, maybe let the blocks develop before he gets in there, but he ran hard, and I don’t have a problem with him only getting 51 yards, there wasn’t’ a lot of running room out there when he was on the field.
Beau Bagley: Sunday morning, Cowboys vs. Redskins, thank you Mickey.
