Nothing is ever calm in the world of the Dallas Cowboys. As the Cowboys prepare for the San Francisco 49ers in the bay area, the Cowboys Receiving corps, notably Dez Bryant, was missing in practice this week.
Beau Bagley: Thank you, Mickey Spagnola joins us. Mickey, it’s learned that Dez Bryant avoided the MRI on his knee earlier this week. He didn’t want the bad news. What are the Cowboys doing with Dez and how long should we expect Dez to be out?
Mickey Spagnola: He did not practice Wednesday or Thursday, doing whatever therapy and rehab sessions they have prescribed for him, knowing what the injury is, I would think that the fact he has not practiced these two days that at best he would be doubtful, now as for how long, I think everybody is a little too far, I think intiallly I heard he could return on Sunday, or 2-3 weeks, it could be longer.
Beau Bagley: How do you see the 49ers and Cowboys game playing out Sunday?
Mickey Spagnola: Well the Cowboys probably realize that the 49ers in these last two games have given up a lot of points, and they have been challenged offensively. This is going to be kind of a cat and mouse game because if Dez is not in there, it will be interesting to see how San Francisco plays it, certainly I don’t think they will have to double any of the Cowboys receivers.
Beau Bagley: We’ll see how it all plays out Sunday in the bay area, Cowboys Insider Mickey Spagnola. Thank you Mickey.
