It was a must win for the Dallas cowboys on Thanksgiving Day. The win against the Washington Redskins puts them into a first-place tie in the NFC East. The Cowboys responding with their third straight win.
The game started with Ezekiel Elliott running for 121 yards on the ground and a touchdown. The Redskins would not go down quietly with Colt McCoy at quarterback, McCoy to Vernon Davis for the touchdown. Cowboys led 10-7 and the half.
The second half was all Dak Prescott and Amari Cooper. Eight receptions for 180 yards and two touchdowns on the day for Cooper. Prescott and the Cowboys pulled through 31-23, putting them in a first-place tie.
Head Coach Jason Garrett, “It was an important win for us. There’s no question about that. I thought our guys fought hard throughout the game and did a really good job of handling the highs of the game and the adversity and playing for 60 minutes.
Dak Prescott, “The elite player he is. He gets space. He creates space himself with the route running. You saw that and then he went and got a lot of yards after the catch. That’s what big time receivers do, so it was great tonight.
A huge test for the Dallas Cowboys when they host the 10-1 New Orleans Saints on Thursday night.
