Cowboys Clinch Playoff Spot, Face Giants for Division Title

NFL Dallas

The Dallas Cowboys have won 11 straight games. This past Sunday, without even playing, the Cowboys clinched a playoff spot. More in this Silver Star Nation Report.

The Cowboys earned a playoff spot this weekend, but after winning only four games last season, the Cowboys are looking for more.

Silver Star Nation Insider Mickey Spagnola says, “Everybody is making a big deal about qualifying for the playoffs. We thought that was going to happen when you win 11 straight games, but the big goal is to win the division. That is still out there, they have to beat the New York Giants to do that. There is no celebration going on around here just because they qualified for the playoffs.”

The Cowboys have a power run game and solid passing. The balance of this offense has really been key in this win streak.

Mickey Spagnola, “It is always key on any team if you can have that balance, because they run the ball and make teams respect the run, and then can hurt you when they throw it, and if you get man coverage, so until a team can matchup up with them playing it straight, not having to overload the line of scrimmage, and stop the quarterback, I think this offense can be awfully effective.

The Dallas Cowboys will be looking to clinch the NFC East, when they play the New York Giants on NBC’s Sunday Night Football.
