Dallas Cowboy fans finally have something to cheer about.
The Cowboys bounced back from their week one loss to beat division rival New York Giants on Sunday. The final score was 20-13. While the score looks close Dallas dominated from the start. It began with a 64-yard touchdown pass from Dak Prescott to Tavon Austin on the third play of the game.
The Giants offensive line struggled to protect quarterback Eli Manning. The veteran was sacked six times.
Jason Garrett, Cowboys Head Coach, “He’s a great decision-maker, and obviously he’s a very good athlete, he can handle those situations and make those split-second decisions based on what he sees. He’s a very good runner, got a good feel for running, and he’s a physical guy. I think 7 or 8 times in this ball game he ran with it and they were difference-making plays.”
Dak Prescott, Cowboys Quarterback, “We definitely hear that, and I kind of set the ‘Challenge Accepted.’ I said I accepted it, but I can tell you I wasn’t the only one who accepted that challenge. This team accepted that challenge, that offense accepted it, and we wanted to go out there and just show these guys.”
Next Sunday the Cowboys head west for a match-up with the Seattle Seahawks.
