A club for bald men in northern Japan celebrated Sunday’s full moon with a unique festival.
Sunday was Tsukimi, a holiday for viewing the full moon.
At the festivities a Shinto priest dedicated a bald wooden figure as a protective deity.
Club members stuck suction cups on their smooth heads for a special version of tug-of-war.
39-year-old Mamoru Ota took home the grand prize. He says he’s looking forward to defending his title next year.
