PHARR, Texas – The creator of a generator that extracts moisture from the atmosphere and turns it into freshwater speaks to PSJA ISD students about the global water crisis.

Elementary school students, as well as students from the high school’s environmental science clubs, got to attend the presentation in which Moses West, founder of Water Rescue Foundation demonstrated his invention to make clean drinking water for the communities of Flint, Michigan, Puerto Rico, and the Bahamas.

He says children from the valley and all over the world are the future engineers and inventors who can help protect the planet.

“I’m here to let them know that this technology is there for them to add to their schools and for them to be just like me or anybody like me to study hard, hard work, grit, drive, determination. Don’t let anybody tell you you can’t do something. Keep striving, you can get it done.” said Moses West, Water Rescue Foundation founder.

West also discussed the sustainable development goals set by the United Nations which are taught in the district.
