Walk with a Doc

News

BROWNSVILLE, Texas – In an effort to promote active and healthy lifestyles in the Rio Grande Valley, doctors are hosting monthly walks with the community.

The initiative kicked off this morning in Brownsville at the Antonio Gonzalez Park, with doctors from the Brownsville Medical Alliance, walking with residents of all ages while answering health questions.

Rebecca Garcia, Brownsville Medical Alliance president, “We are dedicated to making sure that the children are active and this is an excellent way for them to do that. We are happy that the city has accommodated us for this cause.”

“Walk with a Doc” will continue every first and third Saturday of the month for the next 12 months.
