MCALLEN — As the economy comes to a halt among the coronavirus pandemic, many families in the RGV, are struggling to make ends meet and put food on the table.
That’s why two valley organizations, The Libre Institute, Bebo Distributing, and non-profit Bebo’s Angels came together to hand out boxes of fresh produces to families in need.
“Having trouble making ends meet not knowing how their next plate is going to come around, we’ve been bless to be able to pass them out in the community.” says Joacim Hernandez, Bebo HR Director
Bebo reached out to The Libre Institute to partner for the distribution.
The Libre Institute then called community partner faith organizations and churches to see if there was a need.
Churches like Templo Casa De Dios in Mission came to pick up meals.
“Right now more than ever, in these times that we are living in, people need food. That’s why were are her picking up and were thankful to the people who have made this possible and thankful because I know that this will be a big blessing for the families and the community.” says Juan Alvarez, Pastor, Templo Casa De Dios
