Valley native killed in El Paso laid to rest

SAN JUAN, Texas – The valley native who was killed in the deadly attack at a Walmart in El Paso is laid to rest.

A service was held on Saturday at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Hundreds coming to pay their final respects. An uncle of Leonardo Campos says he has mixed feelings and is still in disbelief over the entire ordeal.

Arturo Campos Farias, “He was a happy person and content. He would always try to find the good in life and I’m not the only one who says that. The people who knew him say it as well. Friends, coworkers. Always very happy and always looking to the good side of things.”

Leonardo Campos’s wife Maribel was also killed in the deadly shooting. She was laid to rest in El Paso.
