RIO GRANDE VALLEY, Texas – According to a release, UTRGV has announced a Fall/Spring Relief Package which will provide eligible students up to $1,500 for the fall semester.
The release stated that eligible fall students will be awarded a $500 CARES cash grant that can be used on expenses incurred while attending during the pandemic, expenses such as rent, food, and course materials. In addition, UTRGV will match the $500 cash grant with $500 in tuition balance relief.
Incoming fall freshmen who graduated in or after May 2020 will also receive the $500 tuition balance relief provided by UTRGV, and a free Zone 1 parking pass, said the release.
According to the release they will also be providing half the fall amounts during spring. $250 CARES cash grant, $250 tuition balance relief. Incoming spring freshmen will also be eligible for the $250 tuition balance relief along with receiving a free Zone 1 parking pass.
