MCALLEN, Texas – The city of McAllen will begin hosting a series of job fairs for positions available with the U.S. Census 2020.
The U.S. Census Bureau is looking to hire 8,000 positions in the four county area of Starr, Willacy, Hidalgo and Cameron counties. To apply you must be a U.S. Citizen and be at least 18 years old. Have some basic computer knowledge and being bi-lingual is a plus. The McAllen Census Complete Count Committee and Workforce Solutions are teaming up in making sure everyone in the RGV is counted. The first of three job fairs will be held on Saturday, October 5th.

We will have census staff that can help you out and we have some giveaways from the U.S. Census Bureau. Come on out to the McAllen Public Library this Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
In addition to this Saturday’s job fair, there will also be two more on October 26th and November 16th.
