EDINBURG, Texas – For the second year in a row an Edinburg student wins the Keep Texas Beautiful art contest. Brittlee Garcia, a recent graduate from Edinburg North High School, was one of 14 students across the state whose winning artwork was selected by Keep Texas Beautiful.
The art depicts a cowgirl riding a horse through a Texas landscape. It will appear in the 2020 Don’t Mess With Texas Calendar. More than 3,000 students submitted artwork this year. Last year Edgar Leal of Edinburg North was a winner making it two in a row for Edinburg CISD.
