PHARR, Texas – The trading community meeting in the city of Pharr to discuss international commerce and basic weight enforcement at the ports of entry.
It’s part of the city’s bridge connect sessions meant to fill in gaps for industry professionals with the latest information on trade. As talks continue on the federal level about a NAFTA replacement known as the United States Mexico Canada Agreement (USMCA). Local leaders say little change in permit request has occurred along the border.
Pilar Rodriguez, P.E., Executive Director – HCRMA “We haven’t seen any anomalies in downturns or decrease issues with permits. We’re actually right on with our trend. We haven’t seen anything really change.”
