BROWNSVILLE, Texas – Texas Southmost College is partnering with the City of Brownsville and health officials in Cameron County to provide an online program meant to educate local business owners on proper disinfection techniques.
Officials said the program is meant to help people feel safe as more establishments reopen their doors.
“Businesses are fearful, they are afraid. When their employees are afraid of coming back to work because they want to make sure the environment is safe to work in. Customers are afraid to go into businesses because they’re not sure the environment is safe place to shop,” said Dr. Joe Fleishman, of Workforce Training and Continuing Education
Officials added that once the course is completed, those who participated will receive a certificate as well as a decal they can display at their business.
