RIO GRANDE VALLEY, Texas – Testimony is wrapping up in the trial of Jorge Zamora Quezada, a former valley doctor who allegedly jeopardized his patient’s health for money.
The jury heard from the last witnesses today, including a former employee and a statistics expert. Both testified Quezada handled his clinics “the right way.”
The expert who reportedly analyzed statistics from multiple doctors working with Medicare says another doctor had higher Medicare claims for rheumatoid arthritis patients than Quezada.
Closing statements are expected to begin Monday morning.
