STHS helping staff with stress caused by the pandemic

EDINBURG, Texas — South Texas Health System (STHS) is taking action to make sure their staff is getting the help they need.

Officials said there are adjustments health officials are making as more is learned about the pandemic.

South Texas Health System is making sure its staff, who may not know what they will face when they go into work, know they are there for them.

It may also not just be work that is stressful, as dynamics at home may have also changed.

“We want to help them through the emotional and physical demands that they are dealing with. We want to be here to support them and offer that to them,” said Linda Cantu, Director of Assessment and Referral Department for South Texas Health System Behavioral.

If staff needs assistance, they can ask for someone in the assessment and referral department by calling (956) 388-1300.
