Streets in Harlingen to close for filming

HARLINGEN, Texas – According to the city of Harlingen, filming for the movie “Gift of an Angel” will move to Jackson Avenue on November 18.

Last week, they used the Harlingen Municipal Court to shoot scenes for the movie.

In preparations for the filming, the City of Harlingen has set up Christmas decorations early, and business owners on Jackson have also begun to decorate their windows for the holiday.

Several streets will be closed for the filming which is scheduled to start at 7 A.M. to 6 P.M. on Monday, November 18. Those streets include:

  • Jackson from A to 4th
  • A street from Monroe to Van Buren
  • 1st Street from Monroe to Van Buren
  • 2nd Street from Monroe to Van Buren

The Harry E. Day Memorial Parking Lot between 1st and 2nd will also be closed.

Businesses will remain open, and parking will be allowed, however vehicles in areas where filming is taking place will have to remain there until the filming is done.
