Seven students transported to hospital following bus crash

LA JOYA, Texas – Seven students have been taken to the hospital following a school bus crash involving a border patrol agent.

La Joya ISD Police are currently investigating the crash.

Authorities say a border patrol agent rear-ended a John F. Kennedy Elementary school bus as the bus slowed down to pick up a student.

The crash occurred around seven Friday morning on Military and Abram Road.

The bus driver and border patrol agent were also transported to the hospital.

Officials tell Local 23 that both drivers and the students were taken to the hospital as a safety precaution.

No major injuries were reported.
