Search continues for escaped ICE detainee

HARLINGEN, Texas – A manhunt is currently underway for a 26-year-old man from Guatemala who escaped from a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement security contractor.

The escape took place as he was being transported for medical treatment in Harlingen.

Authorities say 26-year-old Wilson Alexander Perez-Reyes was in the U.S. illegally and according to Harlingen Police, Perez-Reyes escaped from Valley Baptist Medical Center and was last seen near DaVita Dialysis in the 200 block of Haine Drive.

Perez-Reyes is 5’8″ in height and weighs 160 pounds with brown eyes and hair.

When he escaped, Perez-Reyes was wearing a navy blue uniform similar to medical scrubs with PIDC on the back and down the pant leg.

If you see Perez-Reyes, you are asked to call 911 or the Port Isabel Detention Center.
