EDINBURG, Texas – According to a press release, the food bank of the Rio Grande Valley will be holding a mass drive-thru emergency pantry at H-E-B Park in Edinburg, 1616 S Raul Longoria Rd #9169, on Tuesday between 7:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

The release states that anyone from any city is welcome to attend but must pre-register first with the Bert Ogden Arena on Tuesday beginning at 7 a.m. From there, attendees will be directed towards Frontage 281, North to Freddy Gonzalez and finally to H-E-B park where the registration process will be completed and food will be distributed.

The Texas Army National Guard will be assisting with the distribution of food, which will be placed into the vehicle trunks of attendees. Trunks must be empty, said the release.

According to the release there is a limit of two families (two people) per car. ID and proof of address will be required, and all vehicle occupants must wear masks.

Officials said this distribution is first come first serve while supplies last and will be replacing the Food Bank of the RGV’s regularly scheduled drive-thru emergency pantry this week. Distributions for the general public will resume next Tuesday, June 16.
