McAllen (Texas)—Retail store Ross Dress for Less opened its doors Wednesday to a line of anxious shoppers.
Rio Grande Valley residents were seen in long lines in several Ross stores.
The Ross retail store located at 800 E Expressway 83, McAllen, saw a fight in the line to go in.
Officials with the McAllen Police Department say they received the disturbance call at 10:00 a.m.
No arrests were made. It is still an ongoing investigation.
No injuries were reported.
The store is currently ordering discounts on spring items, according to their official website.
Their website also lists measures to ensure the safety of customers; The retail store is providing disinfecting wipes to sanitize carts, they are providing sanitizer for customers and associates, they are encouraging customers to wear a mask, limiting the number of people inside the stores.
The store is also encouraging social distancing, there will be one-way shopping aisles and they will provide contact-less payment options. Bathrooms and fitting rooms will be closed.
