Rain causes streets to flood in San Juan

News

SAN JUAN, Texas – Many parts of the Valley saw a significant amount of rain, with many streets flooded.

Frontage Road in San Juan saw significant flooding before the rain calmed down.

Many cars tried to get through the flood, but many did not make it.

The street was blocked off by officials and Diantha Lane, a San Juan Resident said the water got up to an inch and a half inside of her vehicle.

“Well when I was coming up it just looked like regular road and then when I actually got into the parts that started flooding, there was nowhere to turn off to get out of it,” said Lane.

Tow trucks did make it out to rescue the vehicles that were stuck in the flooding.
