Police continue search for hit and run suspect

SAN BENITO, Texas – The San Benito Police Department continuing its search for a suspect that fatally struck a male subject.

On July 21st a San Benito Police patrolman located 46-year-old Willie Lee Williams Jr. unresponsive near the street on North Frontage by Stephanie Lane. Williams had several injuries consistent with someone having been struck by a motor vehicle.

EMS personnel were called out to the scene to provide medical attention but Williams had died of his injuries. Investigators are currently looking for a maroon in color passenger vehicle, possibly a Nissan Sentra, with damage to the front passenger side.
