News

BROWNSVILLE, Texas – The Children’s Museum of Brownsville celebrating pirates all week. The pirate-themed decorations all over the museum with staff dressing up to make it more realistic.

The week long event was inspired by “International Talk Like A Pirate Day” which happens every year on September 19th. Throughout the week the museum had many activities for the kids to participate in.

Amy Tygrett, Education/Experience Manager, “Throw the skull at the cans, we had a walk the plank, we had swab the deck, all kinds of fun pirate-themed activities.”

Pirate’s week ends Friday, Sept. 27, but there will still be activities going on throughout the day.
