One more confirmed case in Hidalgo County

News

WESLACO, Texas – Hidalgo County health officials have confirmed a resident out of Weslaco has tested positive for COVID-19.

A preliminary investigation suggests that this is a travel-related case.

This brings the total confirmed COVID-19 cases in Hidalgo County to 28.

Investigators have begun determining who the 47-year-old man has made contact with and will be alerting people who may have been affected.

Currently, no other details are available as the investigation has just begun, Local 23 will continue to update as information comes in.
