New U.S. Border Patrol Chief announced

RIO GRANDE VALLEY, Texas – Rodney Scott has been announced as the Agency’s chief on Friday.

Scott has been with the Border Patrol for 27 years, most recently as the Acting Deputy Chief.

Border Patrol has faced scrutiny over the past year for its treatment of migrants trying to cross into the country.

Scott is taking over for Carla Provost, who is stepping down at the end of the month.
