New officers for Mission Police

MISSION, Texas – The city of Mission is welcoming six new officers to its police force. A swearing in and pinning ceremony was held this morning at Mission City Hall. It marks occasion for the new officers, their family and friends.

Police Chief Robert Dominguez says the new officers will bring the force to an authorized strength of 157. He says they will play a critical role in the protection of Mission citizens as well as visitors.

Chief Dominguez also says that for the new officers this will be their first job working in law enforcement. Two of the other officers come from other police departments.
