Nearly $1 million worth of drugs seized

RIO GRANDE VALLEY, Texas – Nearly one million dollars worth of meth and other narcotics has been seized at the Anzalduas International bridge by Customs and Border Protection Officers.

Authorities say a 50-year-old man from Nuevo Leon was behind the failed drug smuggling attempt.

Inside his vehicle, with the help of non-intrusive imaging equipment, officers discovered more than 430 packages of drugs hidden within the trailer area including cocaine, heroin, and marijuana.
