(KHQ) For the last 11 years, Shaheen Mutloob and his family has owned M & K Grocery in Spokane, Washington’s Hillyard neighborhood. It’s typically a quiet neighborhood convenience store, but that changed Saturday morning.
Burglars broke in, not through a door, but by cutting a hole though the roof.
Immediately checking surveillance video, Shaheen was able to see exactly what happened. Just before 5 o’clock in the morning, cameras captured ceiling tiles dropping to the floor. Moments later a masked burglar, using a rope, can be seen lowering himself between aisles.
Joined by another masked burglar, the two can be seen on two different cameras stealing roll after roll of lottery tickets as well as cigarettes, glass pipes and cash.
