Mission resident dies in rollover crash

WESLACO, Texas — The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a one-vehicle rollover fatal crash that occurred yesterday at approximately 3:35 p.m. on U.S 281 south of the Brooks County line. Preliminary investigation revealed, a Green Honda CR-V was traveling northbound on U.S. 281 on the outside lane. The Honda’s back right tire blew out causing it to travel into a right side skid onto the grassy center median and roll over several times. 48-year-old Wilfredo Portillo Aguillon, a resident of Mission-driver of the Honda, sustained major injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. DPS Troopers are further investigating this fatal crash.
