MISSION, Texas – Mission CISD will provide epinephrine pens (EpiPens) in additional areas on campus for students that participate in after school activities.
According to a press release, the EpiPens will be located next to the Automated External Defibrillators (AED) to allow for more accessibility.
EpiPens are used to help students during severe allergic reactions known as anaphylaxis.
Each Mission CISD campus has these life-saving items readily available.
The district has also provided training for staff members on their use.
The district prioritizes initiatives that ensure the safety and health of their students and staff, said the release.
