Mexico’s crackdown on migrants receives praise

News

MEXICO, Texas – While the Trump administration’s immigration policies have been unpopular with some constantly criticizing the U.S. President, Mexico’s President is being praised.

The Mexican military and police are raiding hotels, buses, and trains to round up migrants.

Despite scenes of weeping Central American mothers and their children in deplorable conditions, the Mexican people appear okay with it.

President Manuel Lopez Obrador’s ratings are soaring and most think he’s doing a great job dealing with the surge of migrants.

Much of the sympathy was eroded by the problems migrant caravans caused in late 2018 and early 2019, including famine and sickness.
