McAllen students raise environmental awareness through fashion

News

MCALLEN, Texas (KVEO) – Monday, two McAllen ISD students were recognized for their work.

Giselle Costa and Denisse Damken raised awareness on the environment by using their love for photography and fashion to unveil a fashion line they created that is made from recyclable products.

“We decided to create a fashion line called modern chaos and it’s completely made out of recyclable materials and this idea came from wanting to promote a sustainable fashion and sustainable consumerism within our generation,” said Giselle Costa.

Both girls will be taking their skills to New York’s Parsons School of Design in the Fall.
