McAllen ISD Police Investigate Arson at Stadium

The McAllen ISD Police Department are still investigating an arson fire. It occurred on March 19.

District officials say the fire happened in the pole vault practice area at McAllen Memorial High School.
McAllen ISD police reported the fire burned about $80,000 worth of equipment.

The fire burned pole vault landing cushions, some of the surrounding turf and four lanes of the track in Alfredo ‘Boxer’ Hernandez Stadium.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call the McAllen ISD Police at 956-632-8768.
