Brownsville, Texas (KVEO)—Brownsville Mayor Trey Mendez holds virtual meeting to discuss enforcement for COVID-19 mandates.
Mendez expressed concerned due to the pandemic. “We are trying to make public safety come first and to ensure our citizens are safe.” said Mendez. “None of the measures that we have taken means to pick on any particular business or any particular individuals.”
Mendez mentioned he wanted to spend money in containing the virus itself. “Until we are able to contain the virus and contain the spread, all sorts of money that is being spent out there may end up being just temporary band aids” said Mendez.
