Victim pays $28K, gets nothing

Hidalgo County Sheriff’s investigators arrested a man who defrauded another man out of $28,000 dollars.

A 44 year-old man reported that he had paid $28,00.00 dollars for 14 Dallas Cowboys tickets and for promised legal assistance with his immigration status and citizenship. Both of which were never provided.

Investigators arrested the man identified as, Carlos Celedon, 42.

Celedon was charged with felony theft and was issued a bond set at $10,000 dollars.
