HARLINGEN, Texas (KVEO) — Several school districts across the Valley have announced they will be hosting outdoor graduations after state officials announced they would be allowed with regulations in place.
The Texas Education Agency (TEA) said this guidance is subject to change as public health conditions change due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Below is a list of school districts that have announced they will be hosting a graduation ceremony under guidelines established by the state.

McAllen Independent School District
McAllen ISD announced it has rescheduled High School Graduation to for Jun 8 to 11 at DQ Fan Field at McAllen Veterans Memorial Stadium.
According to a release, the day will begin with a Senior 2020 Spirit Drive on May 19 at the students’ campus.
Ceremonies will be conducted on different nights in order to practice social distancing. Students will be given four seats for their family.

Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District
Edinburg CISD host a graduation ceremony the first week of June at the Richard R. Flores Stadium, said a release.
In order to enforce social distancing, the schedule will be as follows:
Graduation ceremonies will be held as follows:
- June 2: Edinburg High School Graduation Ceremony at 8 p.m.
- June 3: Vela High School Graduation Ceremony at 8 p.m.
- June 4: Edinburg North High School Graduation Ceremony at 8 p.m.
- June 5: Economedes High School Graduation Ceremony at 8 p.m.
According to officials, the district may reevaluate and reschedule ceremonies if COVID-19 cases increase in the area.
The graduation ceremonies are also expected to be live-streamed via the District’s social media platforms and website at www.ecisd.us.
Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Independent School District
Santa Rosa Independent School District
Santa Rosa ISD will host their ceremony on Monday, June 1 at 7 p.m. at the Santa Rosa High School Warrior Stadium, said a release.
The release said ceremony will include the minimum standards of health protocol recommended. As such, all attendees will need to wear a mask, graduates will need to limit the number of guests to two and guests will need to stand and sit six feet apart from each other.
For extended family members and friends who wish to see the graduation, the district will live stream the graduation so people can watch from home, said the release.
Los Fresnos Consolidated Independent School District
Los Fresnos CISD announced it would be hosting its graduation ceremony on May 30 at the Leo Aguilar Memorial Stadium
The district says they will be limiting attendance to two guest per student.
