MCALLEN, Texas – A McAllen family who for nearly 5 years has been feeding the area’s homeless is a finalist for a national award. Last week the Aguirre family was announced as a top 5 finalist in the Disney and Points of Light Volunteer Family of the Year.
The Aguirres’ needing help in the contest by voting for the family. From now until Oct. 22nd you can vote once a day for the family. The family has established Emily’s Meals which feeds homeless people in the area everyday.
