EDINBURG, Texas (KVEO) — The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) has taken an online approach to coursework as social distancing continues.
Instructors with the UTRGV’s School of Music are attempting to be more hands on as their classes get shifted online.
Professor Hector Rodriguez says making the transition to online, seemed simple at first, however, he was able to find alternative options to connect with his students.
“We cannot have face to face or zoom meeting so it gets really slow,” said Rodriguez, sharing the experience he had with a couple of students.
Rodriguez adds that once they worked through the few bumps, the classes began to run smoothly.
He mentions that his students have given him positive feedback of the experience.
