UTRGV extending Spring Break, additional precautions announced

The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) has announced it is extending Spring Break to help lessen the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

The university announced it will be extending Spring Break by one additional week, no classes will be held March 12 to March 20.

Classes will resume online on March 23 and will remain online until further notice.

The release adds UTRGV faculty and staff will continue to report to campus a usual. 

UTRGV also announced that deep cleaning will take place in high trafficked areas around campus as a precaution.
