US Post Office offers mailing, shipping and other services without leaving safety of home

SAN ANTONIO – The United States Postal Service (USPS) announced in a press release a reminder of services the public can do from home. Simple tasks, such as stamps can be purchased by computer.

The release said by using a computer, go to the Postal Store and choose from different stamp denominations. Ask the your local post office or carrier to bring stamps by mail order form, complete the form, leave it in the mailbox with a check and USPS will deliver them right to your home.

If you need to send a package, the public can order free Priority Mail and Priority Mail Express boxes, or other package supplies at USPS. They will deliver items to your address.

By using Click-N-Ship, you can print a mailing label with the appropriate postage right from your computer. If you need a package picked up, go to USPS and schedule a free carrier pick-up.

USPS postal employees are working around the clock to ensure you get your important letters and packages. Skip the trip to the Post Office by ordering stamps, package supplies, and print package postage from your home.

The U.S. Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses, and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations, said the press release.
