US Border Patrol apprehend previously convicted sex offenders

EDINBURG, Texas – On Monday, Rio Grande City agents working near Roma, Texas, apprehended a Honduran national later identified as Daryl Corleto-Amador, after he entered the United States illegally. During processing, agents discovered a previous arrest in Florida by the Collier County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO). Records indicated that the CCSO arrested him for lewd lascivious battery. Corleto-Amador was subsequently convicted and sentenced to four years probation. 

That same day, Weslaco agents working near Donna, Texas, arrested a Mexican national, later identified as Leobardo Treviño-Torres, after he entered the United States illegally. During processing, record checks revealed a previous arrest in the state of Minnesota for criminal sexual conduct in the 1st degree. Treviño-Torres was convicted on the sexual offense charge and received a sentence of 86 months confinement and five years probation.
