UPDATE: Man who Shot Himself at Brownsville Shooting Range Dies

A valley man who reportedly shot himself at a Brownsville shooting range has died.

It happened this morning at the South Texas tactical shooting range. Brownsville police tell us the victim attempted suicide was a man in his 30’s.

Right now investigators are looking at videotape from the firing range.

J.J. Treviño – Brownsville PD Spokesperson says, “At this point we’re still going to have to figure out the videos and look at the video and see exactly what happened, so it’s still under investigation to this point.”

Dozens of U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers were training at the facility at the time of the shooting. Investigators say besides the victim no one else was involved or hurt in the incident.
